Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded thin
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- Olive oil for frying
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425F. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Set up breading station: flour in one dish, beaten eggs in another, breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan in a third.
- Dredge each cutlet in flour, dip in egg, press into breadcrumb mixture on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Pan-fry cutlets 3 minutes per side until golden.
- Spoon marinara over each cutlet, top with mozzarella.
- Transfer skillet to oven. Bake 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil. Serve with pasta or a simple salad.
